Uber and DoorDash, at prices the apps never show
Promotions, reward miles, gift cards and fee rules can all stack on the same ride — but the app won't combine them for you. HalfOff optimizes every order and recovers fees you were overcharged.

Real numbers
Every ride has five price layers. The app shows one.
Base fare, surge multiplier, service fee, reward-eligible purchase and promo codes stack together on a single ride. Riders on reward credit cards can earn up to 9 miles per dollar, yet most never apply them. HalfOff systematizes the layers — points, gift cards bought at 3–8% off, membership perks and fee disputes — so each order costs 24-43% less.
Savings vary by market, membership level and how you pay. We show every layer in writing before any change.
Get My Discount| Example | Listed price | HalfOff price | Savings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airport ride, weekday surge hour | $84 | $51 | 39% |
| Groceries via DoorDash, monthly average | $120 | $84 | 30% |
| Weekly commute (20 rides/month) | $520 | $338 | 35% |
| Surge overcharge reversed (per instance) | $28 | $0 | 100% |
| Missing promo credit recovered | $15 | $0 | 100% |
What we handle
Everything below, handled for you
Reward stacking
Credit-card points (up to 9x/$, sometimes more), airline-mile portals and loyalty transfers applied to the same order.
Gift cards at a discount
Uber and DoorDash gift cards bought at 3–8% off from legitimate resale and rewards channels — instant margin on every order.
Membership perks matched
Uber One ($9.99/mo) or DashPass compared against your order volume and applied only when they pay for themselves.
Surge and fee disputes
Unexpected multipliers, route re-pricing and mystery fees documented and refunded through the in-app process.
Promo calendar
Restaurant week, holiday credits and referral patterns tracked so you order on days credits stack.
Reorder hygiene
Frequent reorders get re-priced periodically — subscriptions re-negotiated, favorites re-searched.
How it works
Surge pricing is overcharged more often than you think
Surge multipliers can reach 7–8x in extreme scarcity, but erroneous multipliers, dead-time double-charges and route drifts are ordinary. Uber's and DoorDash's own support flows refund these when presented clearly — most riders simply don't file.
HalfOff acts as your documentation desk: screenshot, timestamp, fare breakdown, fare-comparison reference. Clean evidence converts to refunds at a very high rate because the platform's own policy already says you're right.
The same documentation discipline recovers missing promo credits, ghost fees on Eats orders and loyalty points that never posted.
- ✓Surge snapshots with GPS error-tolerance checks
- ✓Route-drift fare comparisons
- ✓Missing-credit tracking
- ✓Evidence package built before the dispute is filed
How it works
The membership math nobody runs
Uber One costs $9.99 a month; DashPass similar. For riders who take two or three rides and a weekly delivery, membership fees eclipse the perks. For heavy users they pay for themselves many times over. The threshold is roughly $60–80 of monthly bookable spend — and it shifts with surge demand.
HalfOff computes your break-even against your own receipts and switches membership on or off at the right time of year. Many savers gain more from churning gift-card discounts (3–8% off purchases) than from membership alone.
Combine those with credit-card category bonuses and a market running 3–5x points campaigns, and the stacked margin routinely passes 30% on qualifying orders.
- ✓Uber One break-even: ~$60–80 monthly spend
- ✓Gift-card discount margin: 3–8% on every purchase
- ✓Points multipliers up to 9x/$ on qualifying cards
- ✓Seasonal membership toggling on your behalf

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how our USA-domestic discount service works.
Is stacking rewards and gift cards against the rules?
No. These are the platforms' own published rewards, referral credits, gift-card policies and dispute flows. We use them the way their terms intend — you just never had the time to coordinate all of them.
Do I need Uber One or DashPass?
Only if the math says so. We compute your break-even and toggle membership on or off seasonally rather than leaving it on by default.
Can you really get surge charges refunded?
When the surge was misapplied — dead-time multipliers, route drift, or errors — yes. We file clean, documented disputes through the in-app process, and the platforms' own policies support the refund.
How do I pay for the orders?
Everything stays in your own accounts and your own card. We never take custody of payments — we set up the discount layers and, when you want, guide the checkout.
What do you charge?
A percentage of the savings and refunds we generate for you, settled after the numbers are confirmed — nothing up front.
