General

What exactly does HalfOff do?

HalfOff books flights, hotels, rides and event tickets and negotiates medical and utility bills through legal, industry-standard channels — the same ones travel agencies, insurance negotiators and energy brokers use. We pass the savings to you and charge a fee only when we succeed.

Is this available to everyone in the U.S.?

Yes — customers in all 50 states plus Washington, D.C. Utility-rate switching is limited to deregulated markets; everything else works nationwide.

How much does it cost?

Nothing up front. We charge a small success fee — typically a percentage of the savings — disclosed and approved before we proceed. No savings, no fee.

Is my money safe with you?

For bookings you approve and pay through the provider's normal checkout with your own card. We never take custody of payments or store card details.

Do you help in Spanish?

Sí. Todo el sitio y el equipo están disponibles en español e inglés.

Flights

Can you beat what I find on Google Flights?

Often yes — Google Flights only shows public fares. We also check consolidator buckets, unpublished rates and error-fare feeds. We show the comparison before you book.

Is a consolidator ticket safe?

Yes. You receive a normal e-ticket with the airline's own confirmation and protection. Consolidator distribution is how travel agencies have operated for decades.

How late can I book?

We regularly book same-night and next-morning departures at last-minute fares.

Hotels

Will I still pay a resort fee at the front desk?

We include mandatory fees in the total you approve. The front desk may show the fee on your folio, but your agreed rate already covers it.

Do you book all-inclusive resorts?

Yes — it's one of our specialties. We source through wholesale inventory and beat the resort's own website on many weeks.

Bills

Can hospital bills really be negotiated?

Yes. Hospitals discount cash pay, correct billing errors, apply insurance-contracted rates and comply with charity-care law. A bill is an invoice — invoices are negotiable.

I'm in a regulated utility state. Can you still help?

Yes — internet, mobile and TV retention pricing works everywhere (the retention-desk playbook), and medical, flight and ticket services aren't tied to utility markets at all.

Rides & events

Is stacking Uber rewards and gift cards allowed?

Yes — these are the platforms' own published rewards, referral credits, gift-card policies and dispute flows. We use them exactly as the terms intend; the full stacking playbook lists each lever.

Are event tickets legitimate?

Always. We buy through valid presale, primary, secondary and package channels and deliver by official transfer — the timing windows live in the last-minute ticket guide.
